Achieving the goal of Fatality Free Friday requires a community approach. We cannot do it alone. Fatality Free Friday spearheads an overall awareness campaign nationally. We seek to collaborate with other events held around the country that are added to this page as they take shape.

LOGAN CITY COUNCIL AND ROAD SAFEROADS4LOGAN FATALITY FREE FRIDAY
Logan City Council is doing a Fatality Free Friday event on Friday 27th at the Grand Plaza Shopping Centre, Browns Plains outside the Police Beat. The event will run from 10am till 12 noon.

ROAD AND WATER SAFETY OPEN DAY
On Saturday 21 May Jacobs Well Police will stage the Road and Water Safety Open Day in conjunction with the Fatality Free Friday Road Safety Foundation (FFRSF), the organisers of the national Fatality Free Friday road safety campaign.

From 10am to 2pm at the Volunteer Marine Rescue car park, Pimpama Jacobs Well Road, Jacobs Well, the Road and Water Safety Open Day will bring together key road and water safety stakeholders and community groups in a free community event.

FATALITY FREE FRIDAY
Fatality Free Friday Empty Shoe Display event will be taking place on Friday 27 May 2011 in Brisbane (Reddacliff Place), Sydney ( Circular Quay) and Melbourne (Federation Square).

Fatality Free Friday is Australia’s only national community based road safety program. It is designed to focus public attention on road safety and encourage all road users to think about road trauma and to driver safely. Our aim is to have NOT a single road death in Australia for just one day.

The event will feature:

  • Empty shoe display with 1500 pairs of shoes representing the approximate number of people killed each year on Australian roads.
  • Pledge Centre – Computer stations enabling visitors to sign the online Fatality Free Friday Road Safety Pledge: a commitment to yourself, your family and friends to do your best to use the roads safely.
  • Special guest appearances and other road safety stakeholder.
